In the long while since you’ve heard from us the words to our album track ‘Bernie’ have rung true in several parts of the world and in several different ways. Weird and wicked things keep happening. We don’t know why. Anyway – we thought it might be about time to slip you another free track, and thought that one might be appropriate. It’s now up for free download check it below. Oh and while your scrolling check out a video our friend Richard Kendall made for us from our last show back in February.

Now to answer your question, we’ve been taking it pretty easy because one of our number has moved away to central Australia for a pretty amazing (and pretty non-musical) work opportunity. We’re still planning some pretty outrageously special things, so don’t forget about us.

When you last heard from Ancient Free Gardeners they told you they were about to traverse the globe in different directions, urging you to get to their album launch. What they told you was a lie. They’ve been here the whole time. And they’ll be here in February too, specifically at the Empress on Thursdays, where they will be resident and supported ably by the likes of Tobias Cummings, Lights on at Heathrow, Footy and Chilliad. So we finally added an online store to our website. You can find it here. It uses PayPal, so whatever that means, you need to do it. Oh, we also put up some photos from our album launch in November on our photo page (thanks Lani).

P.S We have some shows coming up in February including a residency at the Empress in Fitzroy as well an appearance at a festival called Feskyval.

So the lovely folk at Beat did a review and interview with one of the guys from AFG. The first person to guess who it is get’s a free album (email us). It came out in the November 10th. For those who couldn’t get their hands on a copy, we have uploaded them for your viewing pleasure.

It’s one of the first ‘story’ songs we’ve put together, sort of straying from the introspective gardeners of yester-EP.
